Holly Days – December 1-4
Kick off to the holiday season with a full weekend of fun. Friday December 1 kicks everything off with the Christmas tree lighting on the north end of Main Street at 5:30PM. After the tree is lit, the very popular monthly Art after Dark when the galleries and shops of Main Street stay open late. Saturday December 02 is Breakfast With Santa taking place at the First Presbyterian church. This event is a favorite among the kids. After your visit with Santa, be sure to take a stroll downtown where you can enjoy live entertainment and musicians from 12-4. Holly Days culminates on Monday December 04 with the Waynesville Christmas Parade starting at 6PM.
A Night Before Christmas – December 09
One of the most popular Christmas celebrations in Waynesville. Main Street is closed to car traffic and the sidewalks are lined with luminaries. Event includes live music, caroling, the Bethlehem Market Place, a live nativity, old-fashioned wagon rides, and of course Santa. Shops, galleries & restaurants remain open for everyone to do some Christmas shopping.
Twelve Days Of Christmas – December 13-24
12 days of magical moments & memories in downtown Waynesville. Merchants will be offering lots of great specials during the 12 days preceding Christmas. On Saturday December 16, visitors can enjoy holiday entertainment & musicians on the street from 11:30-3:30 pm. and with every purchase in participating businesses that day guests can register for a large prize basket filled with impressive gifts.

Taking place in Downtown Canton, a tree lighting ceremony will be held in Sorrells Street Park at 5:00pm followed by the parade at 6PM. This years theme is “An Ole Time Christmas”
